THE PREMIUM OVENS EDIT · UNITED STATES
The best air fryer toaster oven combos
A tray of roasted vegetables, a loaf of bread, something crisp for lunch. Find a countertop oven with room for the meals you make most.
Find your fit ↓
THE SHORT ANSWER
What would suit your kitchen?
Choose an oven around the meals and pans you use most. Then check ventilation, door clearance and cleaning. Extra modes are worth paying for when they replace a job you would otherwise need another appliance to do.
Start with dinner, not the air-fry badge. Ten ovens cover smaller everyday trays, larger family meals, upright storage, guided recipes and separate cooking compartments. The useful choice fits your pans and meals as well as your counter.

Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro
A spacious second oven with 13 cooking modes
A countertop oven for tray meals, baking and air frying, with room for many 9-by-13-inch pans. Check your pan handles as well as its base dimensions.
The large cabinet needs a generous spot on the counter, plus the ventilation clearance in the manual.

Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Grill
Everyday oven cooking with a grill option
A dial-controlled, 0.6-cubic-foot oven with eight functions, including grilling. Compare it with larger ovens if simple controls and everyday meals are your priorities.
The smaller cavity may limit wide trays. Check the selected TOA-70NAS package for the grill plate and other accessories.

Foodi XL Pro Air Oven
Two-level cooking for tray meals and batches
A ten-function countertop oven designed for cooking on two levels. Consider it when dinner regularly needs more than one tray, then check the rack guide for your recipes.
The large cabinet needs space and safe ventilation. Multiple trays and the oven interior also mean more cleanup.

Breville · BOV860BSS1BUS1
Smart Oven Air Fryer
A smaller Breville for everyday oven cooking
Eleven cooking functions in a smaller cabinet than the BOV900 Pro. Consider it for everyday tray meals, toast and air frying when the larger oven would crowd your counter.
It gives up the Pro’s extra cavity space and proof/dehydrate modes. Measure your pans and leave the ventilation clearance in the manual.

Ninja · SP151
Flip Toaster Oven & Air Fryer
A low-profile oven that stores upright
The SP151 flips upright after cooling, freeing counter space between meals. Its wide, shallow cavity is worth considering for toast, pizza and food spread in a single layer.
Storage flexibility does not add cooking height. Tall dishes and larger roasts may not fit; check operating and upright clearance separately.

Cuisinart · TOA-95NAS
Large Air Fryer Toaster Oven
A larger Cuisinart for family tray meals
Cuisinart’s 0.95-cubic-foot oven adds digital controls, two convection speeds and low-temperature functions. Consider it when the TOA-70 feels restrictive, then check your actual cookware.
A larger cavity also brings more surfaces and accessories to clean. Check the current NAS model rather than assuming the discontinued TOA-95 has an identical package.

Ninja · DT251
Foodi Smart XL Pro Air Oven
Two-level meals with an integrated food probe
The DT251 adds a Foodi thermometer to a large ten-function oven. Compare it with the DT201 when roasts and temperature-led cooking are a regular part of dinner.
The probe has food and placement restrictions, and the large cabinet needs a permanent working area. It does not replace an independent food-safety temperature check.

Joule Oven Air Fryer Pro
Guided recipes for a more adventurous dinner
A large countertop oven with thirteen onboard presets and app-guided cooking. Consider it if step-by-step recipes would help you use more of the oven’s range.
Its connected features require a compatible app and device. Compare the BOV900 if you prefer setting time and temperature yourself.

Ninja · DCT451
Smart Double Oven
Two oven compartments for one coordinated dinner
Two independent cooking compartments let you plan foods with different requirements. FlexDoor gives separate access to the top, while Smart Finish can coordinate supported cooking cycles.
Both compartments share the appliance’s overall footprint. Check the actual dishes that fit each cavity; a tall divided oven is not one uninterrupted roasting space.

It needs a permanent counter position. Two cooking levels share one cavity and cannot run at independent temperatures.

03 / BEFORE YOU BUY
Choose for the way you cook.
Capacity in real meals
Compare supported tray and pan dimensions, not marketing volumes alone.
Ventilation and door clearance
Measure your counter and follow the manufacturer instructions on overhead and rear clearance.
Cleaning over the long term
Look at crumbs, grease pathways, removable parts, interior coating and how often multiple accessories need washing.
Choose by the pan you use on a Tuesday
Breville's BOV900 manufacturer documents room for many 9-by-13-inch pans. Cuisinart's TOA-70NAS is described by a 0.6-cubic-foot cavity, which does not prove a similarly wide rack. Measure complete handles and usable internal dimensions before buying.
Pay for modes you cook with
The Breville documents 13 functions, including proof, dehydrate and slow cook; the Cuisinart documents eight with a grill option. More programs mean more flexibility only when they replace a specific task in your cooking routine.
Cooking more than one part of dinner
The Ninja DT201 supports two-level cooking for specified functions and rack positions. That is worth considering for tray meals and larger batches. Check the included pans and rack guide, and think about the extra trays you will wash afterward. A smaller basket air fryer may be simpler for snacks and single portions.
A smaller everyday Breville
The BOV860 gives you eleven modes in a smaller cabinet than the BOV900 Pro. It omits proofing and dehydrating, so decide whether those functions and the larger cavity would be useful. Measure your normal dishes before paying for an oven that is bigger than your cooking needs.
Freeing the counter after dinner
Ninja’s SP151 flips upright after cooling, which can help when the counter doubles as prep space. Its low cavity is the compromise: check tall pans and roasts carefully, and measure the space needed to rotate and store it as well as to cook.
When a larger Cuisinart earns its place
The TOA-95NAS adds a 0.95-cubic-foot cavity, digital controls and two convection speeds. Compare your normal pan with it and the smaller TOA-70NAS. The larger model is a different package, so do not assume it inherits every grill accessory from the smaller oven.
A food probe for the meals you actually roast
The Ninja DT251 adds a Foodi thermometer to a large tray oven. Compare it with the DT201 if suitable roasts and thicker cuts are frequent meals. Follow the probe restrictions and external temperature checks in the manual; a preset does not replace safe cooking judgment.
Help with trying a new recipe
Breville Joule BOV950 adds compatible guided recipes and staged Autopilot cooking. Compare it with the BOV900 if those steps would make you cook more adventurously. Both still need appropriate pans, working clearance and attention to the food; connectivity alone does not prove better cooking.
Two dishes with different requirements
Ninja DCT451 has two independent compartments and Smart Finish coordination for supported cycles. DT251 instead offers two-level cooking inside one cavity. Measure your dishes in the divided spaces before choosing: separate settings help some dinners, while one uninterrupted cavity suits others.
Compare the exact probe-equipped generation
Ninja Prestige DT551 adds another large, probe-equipped option to compare with DT251. Both cook within a single cavity. Check the exact controls and included accessories rather than assuming the Prestige name establishes better roasting or more usable pan room.
LIVING WITH YOUR EQUIPMENT
The part after unboxing.

Follow hot-appliance clearance guidance
Counter width, depth and height are not safe-installation clearances. Check the latest US manual for ventilation, adjacent walls and overhead cabinetry before allocating a permanent place.
Clean more than the crumb tray
Cooking fatty foods in an oven cavity can coat racks and walls; assess access, coating instructions and which removable parts are dishwasher safe.
Check the US bundle
Verify included air-fry basket, rack, pan and any grill plate for the exact BOV900BSSUSC or TOA-70NAS offer. Retail images may show optional or variant-specific accessories.
04 / HEAD TO HEAD
Down to two options?
Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro vs Cuisinart TOA-70
Breville supports larger pans and 13 functions; the Cuisinart lists grill as one of eight functions.
Breville BOV900 vs Ninja Foodi DT201
Breville documents many 9-by-13-inch pans and functions including slow cook; Ninja emphasises two-level cooking and a 120V/1800W arrangement. Compare actual pans, physical footprint and cleaning.
Breville BOV860 vs BOV900 Air Fryer Pro
The BOV860 has a smaller cabinet and eleven modes; the BOV900 adds cavity space, proofing and dehydrating.
Ninja Flip SP151 vs Foodi DT201
The SP151 stores upright after cooling; the DT201 offers a larger conventional cabinet and two-level cooking.
Cuisinart TOA-95NAS vs TOA-70NAS
TOA-95NAS has a 0.95-cu-ft cavity and digital controls; TOA-70NAS documents a 0.6-cu-ft cavity and a grill function.
Ninja DT251 vs DT201
The DT251 adds the documented Foodi Smart Thermometer to a large ten-function oven format.
Breville Joule BOV950 vs BOV900
The Joule adds compatible app recipes and staged Autopilot cooking; the BOV900 is the useful comparison if conventional manual control is enough.
Ninja DCT451 Double Oven vs DT251
DCT451 divides the cooking space into independently controlled ovens; DT251 keeps one cavity with supported rack positions. Both document thermometer functions.
Ninja Prestige DT551 vs Foodi DT251
Both document two-level cooking and a food thermometer. DT551 uses the Prestige Pro Cook presentation; do not assume a newer name proves better cooking.
05 / YOUR QUESTIONS
A few things worth knowing.
Can a toaster oven replace a family oven?
It can take over particular recipes, but usable tray width, dish height, batch count, circuit suitability and clearance still limit it.
Which is easier to clean?
There is no independent head-to-head cleaning test in our research. Inspect the removable tray and interior layouts in each current manual.
Does air-fryer mode make every recipe faster?
No. Time depends on food quantity, layer thickness, airflow, preheat behavior and the actual model; we have not measured comparative times.
