Two large single-cavity Ninja ovens with food probes: compare the exact generation and kit.
Both document two-level cooking and a food thermometer. DT551 uses the Prestige Pro Cook presentation; do not assume a newer name proves better cooking.

Which would suit your kitchen?
A familiar cooking arrangement
Both are worth comparing for tray meals and supported roast cooking with an integrated probe. Check the cavity and supplied trays against your own cookware. Neither offers separate temperatures for each rack, so foods must suit the shared cooking conditions.
Pay for a useful difference
Compare the current controls, thermometer instructions and included accessories for the exact DT551 and DT251 offers. We have not measured a cooking improvement between them. A newer model name alone is not evidence that an upgrade will improve dinner.
Give the oven a working space
Check the current manual for each model’s ventilation and placement requirements, along with open-door and hot-tray space. If the counter is already crowded, compare a smaller oven before treating either large Ninja as a convenient everyday replacement.
This comparison draws on manufacturer specifications rather than our own hands-on tests. Follow the full reviews for more detail, including attributed independent perspectives where available. Check the selected Amazon model and current offer before buying.
