Which would suit your kitchen?
Count the glasses poured together
The larger basket is the useful distinction when several people ask for cold drinks at once. Staggered iced coffees through the afternoon place a different demand on the machine. Start with a serving session, rather than choosing by the larger daily-output number.
Treat first-ice claims carefully
The Compact advertises an initial batch in as little as eight minutes; the larger model advertises about twenty. These are maker claims under conditions, not our comparative test. Neither tells you how quickly a completely empty basket will meet a party’s demand.
Compare access as well as cabinet size
Check the current full dimensions, ventilation, refill access and drainage routine for both machines. The smaller body can still be awkward if it must be moved to fill or clean it. Both involve manual water handling and normal basket and scoop care.
This comparison draws on manufacturer specifications rather than our own hands-on tests. Follow the full reviews for more detail, including attributed independent perspectives where available. Check the selected Amazon model and current offer before buying.
